5 Reasons Network Marketers Need to Pick Up The Phone – Or Get Out of the Business


As an internet network marketer, I’m sure you’ve heard all about attraction marketing at this point and how once you’ve started using it, you’ll never have to do “old school” MLM recruiting ever again and people will just be beating down your door to join your business and send you money.

I call shenanigans and hogwash.

When people first started talking about attraction marketing a few years ago, this was probably true. But, like every other tactic that’s ever been used online, after awhile, things don’t work as well as they used to.pick up the phone

The same goes for attraction marketing. if you really believe at this point that if you never pick up the phone and actually CALL your prospects that you’ll still be able to build a business using the Internet, you’re dreaming.

The chances that someone is going to join your business without first talking to you are slim to none. I’m not saying that it’s never going to happen, but I am saying that it’s not going to happen very much.

So, what do you do? You can still use the Internet to generate leads, but you’ve got to pick up the phone and actually call your prospects if you want them to take action.

Here’s 5 reasons why network marketers have to pick up the phone or get out of the business. I hope they help you focus and get moving in your business.

Reason #1 – Everyone can make a phone call

If you want to grow a big business, you’ve got to get your team to duplicate. Not everyone can blog, tweet, Facebook and all that other online jazz. But EVERYONE knows how to use a phone.

Reason #2 – You will build your confidence

If you can talk to people on the phone about your business, you’re one step closer to getting over your fears of talking to people in person about your business. Start dialing.

Reason #3 – You’re ready to do 3-way calls

Remember, if you’ve got a good team you’re not out there alone making calls. You should have some upline leadership ready to get on a call with you if your prospect has questions. Take advantage of that leverage. But you can only do that if you’re picking up the phone and dialing.

Reason #4 – You’ll move through more leads

Phone calls a great for sorting and sifting. You’ll know pretty much immediately if the person you’re talking to is worth your time or not.

Reason #5 – People want to get to know YOU

Remember, this is “network” marketing. You have to network with people if you want them to join your business.

I’m not saying that you shouldn’t be using the Internet to build your business. What I’m saying is that you have to make contact with people if you want to recruit and build your business. Most people will NOT have the time nor the inclination to try and learn how to market on the Internet, they’d rather build their business offline and you need to be ready to help them.

How To Recruit People Every Day in Your Network Marketing Business


If you’re really going to make it big in network marketing, you’re going to have to recruit people into your business. And I’m not talking about recruiting just one or two people every 6 months.

If you want to become a full-time network marketer, you need to be recruiting all the time. All. The. Time. Not just when you feel like it, but all the time.

You should be taking advantage of every opportunity that presents itself and you have a chance to present your business to someone. If you’re not taking advantage of that every time, you’re not going to recruit as much.recruit more people into network marketing

If you don’t recruit, your business will never grow the way you want it to. Contrary to what you may have heard, your job in this business is not to be a head-hunter looking for the one or two super recruits that will go out and get 500 people into your business..

You’ve got to be the one that is going out and getting 500 people into your business.

You have to make a decision if you want to grow your business. You have to decide that YOU are going to recruit people into your business, not anyone else. You have to be ready to create a full-time income for yourself regardless of what anyone else does in your business.

If you can get that mindset, you will be well on your way to creating amazing success in your business.

So, how to you recruit people every day into your network marketing business? Simple…

Step #1 – Decide. There is a decision that sits before you now. No one else is responsible for decision other than you and no one else can be blamed if you don’t have success. Not your upline, not your sponsor, not your friends, your family or the government. You have to DECIDE that you are going to recruit people every day. Commit that no matter what happens, no matter what is going on, YOU are going to recruit people into your business.

Plain and simple, that’s step #1

Step #2 – Get out and do it. I wish that there was some other cool tip that I could give you at this point, but I’m trying to be very blunt and to the point with this article. I think some of you need that right now.

Even if you stink at recruiting right now, you have to do it. Even if you’ve never conducted a meeting before in your life, you have to start. Even if you’ve never presented your business to anyone before, it’s time to start.

Your success or failure in this business is totally, 100% dependent on your decision to recruit people and to commit to taking action EVERY DAY. If you’re not doing that, you wlll fail.

I know this article isn’t one of those pump you up and make you feel good about yourself articles, but it’s not supposed to be. This was written totally and completely to motivate you to get up off your behind and start recruiting people into your business.

How Many People Should You Talk To About Your Network Marketing Business Every Day?


While I was sitting at my desk today, this question just popped in my head and I thought I’d write a nice little article on the topic. I know that every person that has gotten into network marketing asks this question. If you didn’t when you joined the industry, something is probably wrong with you and you should seek the advice of a medical professional.

That is, after you’re done reading this!

Seriously, I know that this question has been in your head more times than you can probably remember. You’ve been sitting at home, reading over some notes or just thinking to yourself. Maybe you’re cutting the grass or doing the laundry. Maybe you’re out at the mall. Maybe you’re getting your haircut. how many people should you talk to about your network marketing business

Maybe you’re out at having a nice dinner, or even a not so nice dinner. Maybe you’re at church. Maybe you’re at an event. Maybe I’ve said “maybe” one time too many in this article so far!

The point is, as network marketers, we really want to know how many people we should talk to about our network marketing business, plain and simple. Somebody PLEASE just give us a number to work with!

Now, I’m the first to tell you I’m no “guru” and I haven’t made my millions yet in this industry, but I will. But, I’m not the one you should be listening to about how many people you should talk to on a daily basis about your network marketing business.

With that said, I’m going to refer to an industry veteran that has made more than his share of money and has a much more experience than I do right now, and that’s Mark Yarnell.

Mark Yarnell wrote a great little book titled “Your First Year in Network Marketing” and I recently listened to a fantastic training where Mr. Yarnell gave out the “secret” number of people that you need to talk to on a daily basis.

His answer: 30.

30 people a day, 5 days a week. Please take the weekends off. Or you can talk to 30 people those days, too. I don’t care.

Now, the reason Mr. Yarnell says 30 is that he says that is the best way to make a six-figure monthly income in this business. Talk to 30 people every day and you’re well on your way to being one of the big earners in network marketing.

There’s just one problem with that: most people will NEVER talk to 30 people a day about their network marketing business. EVER. Which is why there aren’t more people making incredible incomes.

The dedication just isn’t there. They don’t want to put forth the effort and they don’t want to put themselves out there for people to say “no.”

But you’re not one of those people, are you? I’m not. I’m not at 30 people a day yet, but I’m on my way. And I’ll be there soon.

MLM Beginner Tips – 3 Steps to Generate Leads


You know, at some point in time, everyone in the MLM business was a beginner. No matter how much of a guru they have become now, everybody started at the same place you are, and that’s at the absolute bottom.

You’ve just gotten involved in or are thinking about getting in your first MLM business. You’re pumped, excited, and ready to get going because you know you’ve just come across the system that is finally going to get you to your dreams.

Then, something happens. You realize something. You don’t have any leads! You don’t have anyone to talk to about your new business! What are you going to do!

Without leads, you can’t grow your business. Whether you’re looking for leads for your products or to recruit new business partners doesn’t matter. You’re not going to last long in your new venture without leads.

There’s a ton of people in your life that you know, but you don’t spend a lot of time with. Someone in your church group, a civic organization, PTA, or other places. You’ve met these people and they know who you are, but you only have a little contact. Present them with the business as well. Remember, it’s their choice to turn you down, not yours.

Lead Generation Step #3 – Always Be Looking for More

You’re going to meet and see new people almost every day of your life. You never know when a conversation with someone at an event might turn into a great business relationship. Keep your eyes and ears open to new opportunities as they present themselves. You never stop looking for people to recruit.

Generating leads from people you know and meet is really just a starting point in the technological era that we live in. With the power of the Internet, you’ve got access to so many more people than you ever though possible to talk to about your network marketing business. How to Turn Your Article Marketing Articles into an Ebook


No matter what you’re marketing online, article marketing should be one of the key components in your marketing arsenal. Writing articles does a number of things for you, and I’m not just talking about building backlinks to your website. If you’re only using article marketing to generate backlinks, you’re missing about 90% of the good you can get from articles.

Articles help to establish your authority in your market. This can be incredibly helpful, especially if you’re a network marketer. Every article that you write and that is published increases your level of exposure and gains you more credibility online. When people start hearing about you, they can see your work and know that you’re not just another one of those fly-by-night snake oil sales people, trying to squeeze some cash out of every body.

Articles are a great way to build your reputation, but you can also use them in other ways. For instance, you can use the articles you’ve written to create an ebook.article marketing articles

Now, I know what you’re thinking to yourself, “I can’t write a book!”

Well, you don’t have to. An ebook doesn’t have to be some great philosophical look at life and business. It can just be a collection of tips and advice around one subject, preferably a subject that your prospects will be interested in.

Here’s how you can turn your articles into an ebook:

Step #1 – Find a subject to write about

Do your research first. It doesn’t help anyone, including yourself, to write an ebook about a topic that no one cares about. Get in your niche and see what topics people ask a lot of questions about. You don’t have to be an expert when you start your project either. You weren’t an expert on 18th century whaling ships before you wrote that senior paper in high school, were you? Of course not. You did your research and then wrote your paper.

The same goes for your articles and your ebook. Research the topic, then start writing.

Step #2 – Write the articles

An article doesn’t have to be a huge endeavor. 500-700 words is about all it takes for a good, meaty article that will grab your prospect’s attention. You don’t have to go in to huge detail about the article topic, so make sure your topic isn’t too broad. Remember, you’re going to be writing several articles on your chosen topic, so make each one laser-focused on one area.

Step #3 – Compile your articles

This is the easy part. Once you’ve written all your articles (a good number for a short, concise ebook is 5 – 10 articles) just string them together into a book format. You can write a bit of a closing and intro for each article, just to make your ebook easier to read, but that’s entirely up to you. You’ve done most of the work already, take a little time to make your ebook stand out.

Step #4 – Publish and Profit

You’ve put your ebook together, put it in PDF format for easy downloads, and now you’re ready to start giving it to people. Put up a link on your website. Better yet, give the ebook away as a free gift for signing up to your email newsletter.
