A blog is more than just a place where you can post your latest content online. If you’re using it properly, it can be an absolute lead-generating machine that can work for you anytime of the day or night, completely on auto-pilot. By using these 5 techniques in your blog, you’ll be on your way to driving more leads into your business and sponsoring more people without the stress of cold-calling or spending a ton of cash on leads lists that don’t produce any results. Read on to find out more, true believer…
Have you ever wondered just how long you have to get someone’s attention and get them to read your blog post? I can tell you that you only have a matter of seconds, just simply from the nature of our microwave society. We’re so used to hearing sound bytes, short commercials and flashes of information that are delivered to us very quickly that we’re easily distracted and also easily bored.
And if you’re blogging, your readers are probably being bombarded by about 60 million other things when they’re seeing your blog for the first time. Or even the second time. Just think about how you spend your days at the computer. Do you ever have only one window open on your desktop? How many tabs do you have open in your web browser? As I’m writing this, I have 6 tabs open (which is actually a small number for me) and 6 programs running on my system right now.
For those of us that run our online business through our blogs, we’re constantly looking for ways to make our blog more interesting. Yes, you’ve got to write well and get your readers actively engaged in what you’re writing, but there’s a lot more to do at this point than just write a good blog post.
You want your readers to be more engaged, so it’s your job to do something that many people just have big problem with doing. You’ve got to entertain your readers! Give them something to look at and, often times more importantly, hear on your blog. Some people would much rather listen to or even watch your blog posts!
You may have seen the term Private Label Rights or PLR articles being tossed around frequently lately. PLR articles are articles you can buy (usually in packages or as part of a membership) that you may edit and use as you wish. Unlike free reprint articles, you are not required to link back to anyone else’s website which makes them appealing to many web publishers.
Once you understand the concept behind PLR articles, you can see why they are appealing. Most people can envision the value of adding the articles to their websites. But, did you know there are more ways to use PLR articles than that?
As I’ve spoken about a little earlier this week, I’m going to introduce a number of new features to the blog over the course of 2010. Most of those features are meant for and designed to help you get your online business up and running or improve it in some way. Then there’s this…
Each and every Saturday morning, we’ll have a bit of silliness here at the ol’ blog. Nothing serious, and certainly nothing that will move your business forward in any way, but it may help to brighten your life a bit.
When I was a kid, Saturday morning cartoons were still a pretty big deal, something that seems to have disappeared over the last few years. So, I wanted to bring you a little fun to start your weekends and hopefully make you chuckle, even if you’re just chuckling at me for putting something completely ridiculous on my blog.
I promise that anything I put up here will be safe for home and work, and your kids. We’ll keep it family friendly
And for our first Saturday Morning Silliness, a brief clip from one of my favorite TV shows, Whose Line is it Anyway?
Cya next week for more Saturday Morning Silliness!
