I’m really glad you decided to stop in and check this blog post out because today we’re going to talk a bit about how you can easily and continuously create great content for your blog. I’m pretty sure I don’t have to tell you how important it is to always be creating content for your blog, but if you’re not aware how important it is, check out this post on 3 mistakes that people make while trying to make money blogging.

Creating content for your blog will help you create a massive web presence, build your list, build your business faster than you ever dreamed possible, and convince people to just BUY EVERYTHING NOW and bring more money into your bank account, every day. But you’ve got to be consistent in your efforts!

The trouble most people have is coming up with enough ideas to produce content on a regular basis, so I’m going to help you today in three simple steps. Keep doing these things and you’ll never run out of fresh, exciting, and profitable content for your blog.

Step #1 – Always be reading. There’s a simple principle that states that whatever you put in is what you’ll put out. There’s a ton of people that can come up with a few ideas for blog posts, but they fizzle out quickly. If you’re reading other authors and bloggers in your niche, you’ll always be learning something. Read something every day, you’ll replenish your brain fuel and have more to give out to people in your own blog posts. If you refuse to read, you’re refusing to have a successful business.

Step #2 – Keep a growing list of ideas. This is really important for you to understand. If you don’t have a list of ideas to start with it’s going to be incredibly difficult for you to write anything, at least when you’re first starting out. Keep something with you all the time to write down ideas, whether you’re using a notepad, a legal pad, a journal, an app on your phone, whatever. You’ve got to have a list of ideas to start your blog posts with because there will be days when you just don’t feel like writing and you can’t come up with anything to write about. It will happen, I guarantee it. Keep that list handy and keep adding to it, you’ll thank me later.

Step #3 – Always be on the lookout for new ideas. As you begin creating content, you’ll begin to look at your niche in a new way. You’ll see ideas and opportunities for new blog posts appearing out of nowhere. As you surf the web and go about your everyday life, ideas will come to you. But only if you’re consistent.

Bonus Tip – Write something every day. You’ll only get better at creating content if you do it every day. I don’t care if you’re writing something for your blog or not, just write something. Even if it’s complete nonsense, write something. The best authors in the world write pages of content every day, whether they ever use it or not. The mere act of writing will make you better. You’ll step out of your comfort zone and build your skills. After all, don’t you want to be a better blogger? Of course you do! The better you become, the more people will just go ahead and buy everything you have to offer them without thinking about it.

Network marketing is a great business model to get involved with and a great way to make a living.  You get to build a business on your terms, work with the people you want to work with, grow it however big you want to, and help other people to do the same.  I don’t know of any other model in the world that allows you to do all of those things at the same time.  However, I’ve discovered something about people that fail to achieve network marketing success:

No one ever really fails at network marketing, they just give up right before the walls break down and their lives change for the better.

When I think about all the people that have quit network marketing and I know how close they were to really getting the momentum going that they need to be successful, it makes me shudder.  Yes, it takes time to get your business off the ground.  It takes work.  Don’t let anyone tell you other wise.  There are lots of different ways to build this business, but they all require work.

But, so many people have fears that they can’t overcome and they quit just before they find true network marketing success.  Here are what I believe are the top 5 fears and what you can do to overcome them and move forward in your business.

Lack – So many of us, myself included, focus on what we don’t have.  We are constantly thinking about what we don’t have in our business.  Thinking about lack just breeds more lack.  The more you think about what you don’t have, the more stuff you won’t have.  It’s a simple principle that has carried through the ages.

How to overcome – Focus on what you have right now, no matter how insignificant you think it may be.  Start with where you are right now, not tomorrow, not 5 minutes from now.  This can’t wait, you’ve got to change your outlook now to make tomorrow a better day.

Rejection – So many of us are so afraid of being rejected by people.  We get so scared of hearing the word “no” that we won’t talk to anyone about our business.  And this produces no forward motion, frustrating us and causing us to quit.

How to overcome – Don’t worry about hearing “no”.  It’s just a word and it can’t hurt you, no matter how much you think it can.  Get past it and move forward.

Criticism – You’re going to have a lot of people criticizing you for what you’re doing.  They’re going to say you’re crazy and that you’re just wasting your time.  This can cause a lot of people to quit very early on in their business.

How to overcome – If you are surrounded by people that won’t encourage you, get away from them.  As a matter of fact, screw them!  They haven’t done what you’re doing and they certainly haven’t had any success.  If they had, they’d be rooting for you, not trying to bring you down.  Move forward and find some people that will support what you’re doing.

Failure – What can I say?  So many of us are so afraid to fail that we quit trying.

How to overcome – Failure is just another step in the learning process.  You haven’t failed, you just found another way not to get to your goals.  Try again.  And when it feels like you can’t try any more, try one more time.

Success – I know this one sounds crazy, but there are a lot of networkers that are afraid of being successful.  They feel like they won’t be able to handle the limelight, the attention, the money that success will bring them in this business.  They are afraid of becoming a leader.

How to overcome – Believe in yourself.  You were made to be a champion, to be a leader.  You were made to change your world.  Get out there and do it.

Yep, I said the dirty word.  You have to do some work if you want to see these secrets produce results.  If you don’t do the work, it doesn’t matter what technique or tactic you’ve learned, it’s not doing to do you any good.  So… let’s get to work!

Secrets to Get More Blog Traffic

Traffic Voodoo secret #1 – Be consistent.  I’ve seen my own traffic fluctuate quite a bit when I’m active on my site and when I’m not.  If you’re not actively provided new information to your community, they’re not going to come back to your site.  Sorry to tell you that, but it’s true.  There’s a reason that it seems like the leaders online are always creating new info.  They really are adding more value all the time, and that drives traffic.  And it doesn’t necessarily always have to be a new blog post.  You can be active on the social networks as well, which leads me to my next point…

Traffic Voodoo secret #2 – Use social networks to your advantage.  If you haven’t noticed by now, Facebook and Twitter are all the rage.  And more people are starting to use them every day.  Take advantage of these platforms and start letting people know about your site and the content that you have there.  Even if you’ve got older content, I’m sure it’s still pretty good info!  Tell people about it and watch the traffic start to roll in.

Traffic Voodoo secret #3 – Use keywords to grow organic traffic.  If you’re not doing keyword research for the content you’re writing, you’re not writing with a purpose.  Everything you put out should have a keyword focus.  There’s no better way to get more blog traffic than by using the search engines to do the work for you.  Just make sure you’re targeting keywords with you content and you’re developing the right foundation to get more blog traffic.

Traffic Voodoo secret #4 – Use social bookmarking to get backlinks.  It’s all well and good that you’re using keywords in your content, but if there aren’t any links to that content, who cares?  The search engines can’t find that content unless there’s a link to it.  One of the best ways to get backlinks right now is to use social bookmarking.  Now, you can do this all yourself.  Of course, that takes a lot of time and can be a little bit boring.  A better option is to use software to automate that task, freeing you up to create more content.  Bookmarking Demon is great for this and you’ll use it all the time.

Now, I’ve only shared a few ways that you can get more blog traffic and grow your business.  What you need to do right now is decide to take some action and get started on your business!  I can promise you that the surest way to fail is if you don’t do anything and just sit there, staring at your screen!

I’ve recently come to an epiphany in my business.  I’m not just saying that to try to get your attention (maybe a little true), I’m saying it because I have absolutely, positively, been coming at my business from completely the wrong direction for the better part of 5 years.

See, I’ve always been under the impression that I had to work really, really hard to make any money in my business.  And in the online world, that means writing just about six million blog posts, 26 million articles, getting about 152 million backlinks and leaving comments on 195 million other blogs, staying up all hours of the night trying to come up with the latest and greatest strategy that I can implement to get more traffic to my sites and get more eyeballs in front of my content.

But I was doing it all wrong.  It’s ok to do all those things, but when you’re sending people to the wrong kind of stuff, you’re not going to make any money.

After watching a presentation by one of my mentors, I came to realize something.  Something that I never, ever realized before in all of my time online.  And I’ve seen that I’m not the only person that has this problem and if you’re reading this, you’re probably just like me.

See, it doesn’t matter how great or how much content you have.  You can have a blog that gets thousands of hits every day.  Tens of thousands of people can read your blog each and every month, but if you don’t get this key right, it’s not going to anything to that bottom line balance in your bank account.

And after all, isn’t that why we’re doing this?  I know, I know, you like to sit around and think that you’ve got some lofty goal of helping to improve humanity or leave a mark on society.  Heck, you may even have aspirations of people talking about you in history books many years from now.  But when you really get down to it, at least when you’re starting out, your one and only goal is to make some money.

Money isn’t everything.  It really isn’t.  But when you have money, it sure does make everything else a lot easier.  When your bills are paid, you can start thinking about what else you can do with your money.  When your kids have food to eat, you can move on to other things.  When the creditors stop calling you and you don’t have to worry about having your car repossessed or go into foreclosure, your vision for your life can become incredibly clear.

But when you’ve got that stuff (and more) hanging over your head, you tend to lose your grandiose world view.  You need some cash, and you need it now.  And JG Wentworth isn’t around to give you a hand.

But even with this need for cash, you’re still missing it with your business.  You (and I) have overlooked the most important part of the incredibly complex and befuddling money getting system.

Wait a minute, back that up.  It’s not complex and befuddling.  It’s simple.  It’s so simple we can’t believe it can really work that way.  It’s so simple that we don’t believe that we couldn’t just see that path that was set before us many years ago and we live in denial that our problems really have been that easy to solve all along.  We want it to be hard.  We need it to be hard. (Insert “that’s what she said joke” right here…)

We need the money getting process to be so unbelievably hard so that we’re justified when we are still broke after so many backbreaking hours of work and mental exhaustion.  It can’t be easy, because if it was I’d be rich by now!

Dear friend, I’m here to tell you that it is easy.  We’ve just missed the most important step.  Before you read the next statement, I want you to take a deep breath and clear your mind.  Go ahead and get all your preconceived notions about generating cash out of your head.  Open your mind to a new revelation that, if you let it, will change your world and set you on the path to finally getting where you want to be.

Ready?  Here it is..

The reason you aren’t making any money is simply because YOU DON’T ASK FOR IT.

There, that’s it.  Simple as that, nothing more.  You don’t have any money, because you’re not asking for any.  Think about it.  How many steps does a person have to go through on your blog before they see your business presentation?  How many different pages do they have to view before they’re presented with an affiliate offer to buy?  How many links on your blog lead to a page that don’t give someone a chance to buy something and you get paid for it?

I’d venture to say that the vast majority of what you’re offering people doesn’t give them any opportunity to buy anything, or at least not without first going through about 13 different steps.

Take a good look at your online work.  Evaluate what you’re doing and see if I’m not right.  I know when I took a look at my blog, I was shocked.  Unbelievably shocked.  I’m still working on things to make them better, and they’re going to get better quickly.  I encourage you to do the same.
