With the state of our economy and with more people looking for a way to either make ends meet or to replace their income entirely, a lot of people are looking into the Internet as a way to start a business to make some extra income. And it’s no surprise why, you see a lot of late night infomercials that talk about how to make money on the Internet or to make money from home, along with about a gazillion ads online that promise the same thing.
And there have been plenty of people that have been able to turn their lives around after starting an Internet business. But there’s a few things that they all have in common that you need to pay attention to if you want to enjoy the same kind of success that these leaders have.
First, though, let me say that if you have the desire and the drive, you WILL be successful in any venture that you start. BUT…. if you want to really get results faster than you ever dreamed, you really should be using the Internet to build your business!
So, what things do you need to know when you’re starting an Internet business? Here’s 3 things…
Tip #1 – Make a commitment to succeed. I can’t tell you how important this first step is. Most of your success in any business is determined by how dedicated you are to pushing through until you’ve reached your goals. This isn’t something that’s going to happen overnight, it will take time. If you’re not willing to work for AT LEAST the next 12 months on your new business like your life depended on it, just stop now. There will be times you want to give up, but you can’t. Set your mind on success from the beginning and refuse to accept anything less than living your dream life.
Tip #2 – Make sure you are building a business that creates residual income. I see a lot of people that start an Internet business that is built around selling something one time or around huge “product launches”. The problem with this model is that you have to constantly be creating new items or a new launch. Even with affiliate marketing, which is a great model for beginners, often doesn’t create a “walk away” residual income. Focus on a business that will pay you over and over again for work that you do one time. Which business is best for this? In my opinion, there’s no better option around than network marketing. It’s a proven business (over $100 billion a year in sales industry wide) and it leverages the work you do one time for many years to come.
Tip #3 – Follow a proven system and stick to it. I’ve been online for several years now and I see so many people get hung up on systems. The reason for that is that it seems like there is a new system that someone says is the next big thing and will make you millions of dollars. People are easily distracted, especially when it comes to making money. So they skip from program to program and business to business, looking for the path to success. All the while, other people are following a simple system that others have used to make 5-figures a month (or more) and they teach other people how to do the same thing. Wouldn’t you rather be able to follow a proven system that is easy for anyone to follow and WILL start building your business? I know I would, and that’s exactly what I and a bunch of my friends have decided to do.
