I also know that you, like me, are starting out building your business part-time and you don’t have a lot of time to waste with a bunch of fluff.
You want some actionable tips that you can start using NOW to make a difference in your home business, and that’s what I’ve got for you today.
If you want to build a money making home business, here are 5 things that you absolutely MUST do in order to be successful…
Thing #1 – Discover your “why”. When I was starting out, I really thought that I wanted to get into this business for the money. I can tell you that if that is your reason, you will lose interest very quickly. Find your “why” and make sure that it is something that will motivate you more than money. Your “why” has to be big, incredibly big. You’re going to need to know why you’re doing this business when you’ve talked to 50 people and NONE of them has taken a look at your business. You’ll have many long days and nights and you need to know why you’re doing this. All I have to do is turn around from my desk and see the crib that will soon be holding my baby girl and I’m very quickly reminded of my “why”. Find yours and use that motivation to get going.
Thing #2 – Spend time each day in personal development. Even if you’re starting out part-time, you’ve got to spend some time each day in personal development. If you’ve been working for a wage for many years, there’s a lot of crap in your head you have to get out before you’re really going to achieve success. Read some personal development books or listen to CDs or audio recordings. Spend a little time each day building yourself, even if its only 15 minutes. The payoff will be huge!
Thing #3 – Commit to work you business like a business. If you’re going to have a business, it has to be treated like a business. You have to work it every day just like you do with your current full-time job. No calling in sick, no taking the day off because you just don’t feel like working. That’s not a business, that’s a hobby, and hobbies don’t make you any money. Get to work!
Thing #4 – Follow a proven system. One of the worst things someone can do when they’re starting out is to not follow a system that works. You may have some idea in your head about how to get things done, but you don’t. There are a lot of people that have already build a money making home business and you need to follow that path that they’ve laid before you. You don’t have to go and reinvent the wheel, just use a system that works. If you don’t have a system or the one you’re using now SUCKS, take a look at this simple system that converts higher than anything else I’ve seen and will grow your business quicker that you thought possible.
Thing #5 – Don’t give up. I saved the best for last. Things will be tough when you’re getting started. It may be a little while before you start seeing results, but that’s OK. Remember, you’ve got your “why” to keep you going when you don’t feel like it. Don’t give up, your time is coming and it’s coming soon. Never give up, never surrender!
