Do you really want to build a money making home business?  Are you sure about that?

Have you made the commitment to yourself and to your family that you’re going to do everything it takes to make this business successful, no matter how tired you are or how frustrated you get?  Have you finally gotten sick and tired of being sick and tired and you’re ready to change your life forever?

If you’re here reading this, I KNOW that you are!  And I know that you are looking for some tips that can help you along the way so that you can grow your business as quickly as possible.  I also know that you, like me, are starting out building your business part-time and you don’t have a lot of time to waste with a bunch of fluff.

You want some actionable tips that you can start using NOW to make a difference in your home business, and that’s what I’ve got for you today.

If you want to build a money making home business, here are 5 things that you absolutely MUST do in order to be successful…

Thing #1 – Discover your “why”.  When I was starting out, I really thought that I wanted to get into this business for the money.  I can tell you that if that is your reason, you will lose interest very quickly.  Find your “why” and make sure that it is something that will motivate you more than money.  Your “why” has to be big, incredibly big.  You’re going to need to know why you’re doing this business when you’ve talked to 50 people and NONE of them has taken a look at your business.  You’ll have many long days and nights and you need to know why you’re doing this.  All I have to do is turn around from my desk and see the crib that will soon be holding my baby girl and I’m very quickly reminded of my “why”.  Find yours and use that motivation to get going.

Thing #2 – Spend time each day in personal development.  Even if you’re starting out part-time, you’ve got to spend some time each day in personal development.  If you’ve been working for a wage for many years, there’s a lot of crap in your head you have to get out before you’re really going to achieve success.  Read some personal development books or listen to CDs or audio recordings.  Spend a little time each day building yourself, even if its only 15 minutes.  The payoff will be huge!

Thing #3 – Commit to work you business like a business.  If you’re going to have a business, it has to be treated like a business.  You have to work it every day just like you do with your current full-time job.  No calling in sick, no taking the day off because you just don’t feel like working.  That’s not a business, that’s a hobby, and hobbies don’t make you any money.  Get to work!

Thing #4 – Follow a proven system.  One of the worst things someone can do when they’re starting out is to not follow a system that works.  You may have some idea in your head about how to get things done, but you don’t.  There are a lot of people that have already build a money making home business and you need to follow that path that they’ve laid before you.  You don’t have to go and reinvent the wheel, just use a system that works.  If you don’t have a system or the one you’re using now SUCKS, take a look at this simple system that converts higher than anything else I’ve seen and will grow your business quicker that you thought possible.

Thing #5 – Don’t give up.  I saved the best for last.  Things will be tough when you’re getting started.  It may be a little while before you start seeing results, but that’s OK.  Remember, you’ve got your “why” to keep you going when you don’t feel like it.  Don’t give up, your time is coming and it’s coming soon.  Never give up, never surrender!

OK, take just a few minutes and watch this video, then we’ll talk about some things.  I promise there’s a point to this…

Now that we’ve all taken a stroll down memory lane and seen our good friends the Seven Dwarves, let’s talk about getting leads and prospects for your business, shall we?

Network marketers are always looking for ways to get more leads for their business.  I know I am, but sometimes I forget the simple things that have always worked and always will work when it comes to getting more leads.

See, you have to be like the Dwarves.  There are a few things they do to get their diamonds that we can do to get more leads…

#1 – The Dwarves go out every day.  Yep, every day they head to the diamond mines.  You’ve got to head out every day, too, if you want to get more leads.  Whether you’re going out in person or using online techniques, you only produce results if you do it every day.

#2 – The Dwarves dig.  I’m sure when the Dwarves first came to the diamond mine, there were stones laying around that could be easily picked up.  After a while, they had to dig.  And they still dig.  So should you.  You should be digging for more leads every day.  Some days will produce more than others, but if you’re not digging, you won’t get any.

#3 – The Dwarves don’t forget when it’s time to go home.  The Dwarves work hard, but when it’s time to go home, it’s time to go home.  You have to stay connected to your “why”.  Working on your business all the time will bring you results, but it will cost you something, as well.  Take time to spend time with the ones you love, and just to relax.  Isn’t that why we’re building a home based business to start with?

I know this post was a little bit different, but I’m hoping that you are getting my point.  Leads and prospects are out there, you just have to go out and get them.  And maybe the next time you go out, you’ll be singing right along with the Dwarves.

So you’re thinking about starting a home based business, are you?   Good for you!  It’s great that you’re deciding to take your destiny into your own hands and not leaving it up to your boss, your co-workers, your family, or the government to creating a good life for you.

You’ve also started walking down a path that many people have been down and been extremely successful.  The number of success stories of people that started a home based business and are now living the life of their dreams are too many to count.  And I’m not talking about the ones that you see on crazy infomercials, I’m talking about the ones that now have the freedom to work when they want, live how they want, and go and do anything they like without having to answer to someone or ask for time off.

That’s the real dream.

However, you’ve also stared walking down a path that many people have failed miserably at quit and gotten fed up and disgusted with.  There’s a lot of bitterness out there whenever you start talking about a home based business.

You’ll hear horror stories about how people lost everything and how they got “suckered in” to this crazy “pyramid scheme” by their uncle Fred.  They jumped in with both feet and after 3 years of trying all they had was a garage full of soap and more bills than they did when they got started.

The stories go on and on, but my point is that there are going to be a lot of people that don’t want you to be successful with your home based business.  And they don’t want you to be successful because they weren’t successful.

They don’t want to see someone else succeed where they couldn’t.

So, what do you do when you meet someone like that?

Keep moving toward your dreams.  Maybe when they see how happy you are they’ll understand that the reason they failed had nothing to do with anyone else other than themselves and they just need to get motivated and start producing something.

Or they’ll just stay bitter and keep trading time for money.

Either way, it won’t affect you.  You’re on the move and you’re making things happen.

Don’t get discouraged and don’t let the haters get to you.

You just keep on keepin’ on.

Recruiting. You know that to be successful in multilevel network marketing you need to do more of it. There is no other action that you can perform that can grow your business more quickly than if you are recruiting on a regular basis.

I know you’re sitting there thinking to yourself, “I know I have to recruit. My upline has been beating that into my head every day!”

But I also know that you’re frustrated with your results so far. You’ve been through your warm market list and you haven’t gotten much response, if any at all.

So, what do you do now? You’ve got to recruit if you want to grow!

Here’s what you need to to do recruit more leads in multilevel network marketing:

Step #1 – Talk to more people

Yep, this is where things are going to get uncomfortable for you. But, if you want real success, it’s time to get out of the comfort zone and move forward in your business. Talk to people about your business. You don’t have to talk a lot, as a matter of fact, the less you say the better off you are. Invite people to take a look at your business every day. The more people you talk to, the more you’ll recruit.

Step #2 – Know where to send them

When you are talking to people about your business, you have to know what the next step in the process is to recruit them. You’re not going to recruit them into your business right then and there. They will want more information. So where do you send them? Make sure you know the address for an online presentation, the number for a pre-recorded phone presentation, or have a CD handy to give them. Recruiting is a process, so know the process.

Step #3 – Know how to do a 3-way call

OK, so you’ve sent your prospect to a presentation and you’ve checked back with them. Now is a perfect time to get one of your upline leaders on the phone with a 3-way call. It’s time for you to close your mouth and let your upline leader talk to your prospect and get them in the business. Again, the less you say, the better.

Step #4 – Follow up

Let’s say that your prospect doesn’t join on the 3-way call. No problem, this will probably happen a lot. It’s your job to follow up with them again and get them in the business. Again, recruiting is a process and you need to follow the process all the way through until your prospect either joins or says that they’re not interested at all.

Step #5 – Rinse and repeat

Pretty simple step here. Just keep following the recruiting process and you’ll soon see great success in your business. Remember, no one fails at multilevel network marketing, they just quit. Don’t be one of those quitters.

You may understand the recruiting process at this point, but you may still be stuck without any leads in your business.
