Now that I’ve got you here, I do have some tips for you that I know will help you get more blog traffic.  And I can assure that while some people don’t know about these things, they’re not really secret and they’re certainly not voodoo.

And they’re not really difficult, which is why it’s really hard to believe that there aren’t more people using these things every day to get more blog traffic.  Then again, they do all have something in common that most people tend to avoid and causes more people to fail in their online business than will ever actually make a profit.  They all involve WORK!

Yep, I said the dirty word.  You have to do some work if you want to see these secrets produce results.  If you don’t do the work, it doesn’t matter what technique or tactic you’ve learned, it’s not doing to do you any good.  So… let’s get to work!

Secrets to Get More Blog Traffic

Traffic Voodoo secret #1 – Be consistent.  I’ve seen my own traffic fluctuate quite a bit when I’m active on my site and when I’m not.  If you’re not actively provided new information to your community, they’re not going to come back to your site.  Sorry to tell you that, but it’s true.  There’s a reason that it seems like the leaders online are always creating new info.  They really are adding more value all the time, and that drives traffic.  And it doesn’t necessarily always have to be a new blog post.  You can be active on the social networks as well, which leads me to my next point…

Traffic Voodoo secret #2 – Use social networks to your advantage.  If you haven’t noticed by now, Facebook and Twitter are all the rage.  And more people are starting to use them every day.  Take advantage of these platforms and start letting people know about your site and the content that you have there.  Even if you’ve got older content, I’m sure it’s still pretty good info!  Tell people about it and watch the traffic start to roll in.

Traffic Voodoo secret #3 – Use keywords to grow organic traffic.  If you’re not doing keyword research for the content you’re writing, you’re not writing with a purpose.  Everything you put out should have a keyword focus.  There’s no better way to get more blog traffic than by using the search engines to do the work for you.  Just make sure you’re targeting keywords with you content and you’re developing the right foundation to get more blog traffic.

Traffic Voodoo secret #4 – Use social bookmarking to get backlinks.  It’s all well and good that you’re using keywords in your content, but if there aren’t any links to that content, who cares?  The search engines can’t find that content unless there’s a link to it.  One of the best ways to get backlinks right now is to use social bookmarking.  Now, you can do this all yourself.  Of course, that takes a lot of time and can be a little bit boring.  A better option is to use software to automate that task, freeing you up to create more content.  Bookmarking Demon is great for this and you’ll use it all the time.

Now, I’ve only shared a few ways that you can get more blog traffic and grow your business.  What you need to do right now is decide to take some action and get started on your business!  I can promise you that the surest way to fail is if you don’t do anything and just sit there, staring at your screen!

In the modern world of network marketing and internet business, you’ve got to realize by now that a blog is an absolute must-have if you want to be successful.  A blog is your hub online, the launching point for everything you do.

I’ve even heard someone describe your blog as your “home” online, where you invite your friends over and just hang out and have a good time.  It’s where you pass out all of your tips and best strategies, and put up your personal thoughts on business and life, too.

But just because you’re putting up lots of great content doesn’t mean that anyone is seeing it.  This is definitely not one of those “build it and they will come” situations.

You’ve got to drive traffic to your blog, and if you want to see massive results in your business, you’ve got to send a massive amount of traffic.

And to help you do that, I’m going to give you these three quick and easy strategies that will help you get more traffic to your blog, right away.

Strategy #1 – Link to your blog from articles that you write.  You are writing articles as part of your marketing strategy, right?  I sure hope so!  Whether you are or not, some of your articles need to be geared toward driving traffic to your blog.  And not just to your home page!  Got a great post that you think will benefit someone?  Link to it from a related article and watch the traffic pour in!

Strategy #2 – Link to your blog from Facebook. Facebook is the 800-pound gorilla on the internet as I’m writing this.  You’ve got friends and contacts, so make sure they know where your blog is at.  And if you don’t have a Facebook fan page set up yet, go ahead and do it now and link to your blog from there, too.

Strategy #3 – Tweet your blog posts on Twitter. There are a number of tools out there available for the WordPress blogging platform that will “tweet” anytime you have published a new blog post and you don’t have to lift a finger to do it!  And if you’ve got a really great blog post, don’t be afraid to “tweet” about it a few times over the next few days after you publish it.  People check out their Twitter streams at different times and may miss your post if you only put it out there one time.
