I’m assuming if you clicked through to this article you’re interested in MLM Lead generation so that you can grow your business. I hope so, because I’m about to share with you 5 simple steps that the “big guys” use that they probably didn’t tell you about, and for good reason.
See, your upline in your MLM company probably has told you the same things that we’ve all been told. You know, make a list of everyone you know and then beat on their door and harass them until they sign up for your company.
Unfortunately, that tactic doesn’t work very well in today’s very jaded society. Haven’t you heard of the “No Call List” and other things created just to keep marketers from contacting people?
You don’t want to be another one of those guys, do you? I didn’t think so!
So, what are the big MLM companies doing now that is causing them to grow their numbers faster than ever before, all while making far fewer people mad?
Here’s 5 of their simple steps, feel free to use them yourself:
Step 1: Understand and Use Attraction Marketing. Probably the biggest revolution in the last few years in the MLM lead generation world is the concept of attraction marketing. Basically, you want people to come find you, not the other way around. If you’ve got this going for you, you’ll soon have more leads than you know what to do with. Read up on what attraction marketing is and start mastering it to your advantage.
Step 2: Build an Email List Whether They Buy From You Or Not. Too many times in the past people in MLM ignored anyone that wouldn’t immediately jump into their company and join up. The reality is that most people you talk to about your opportunity won’t ever join. Ever. But that doesn’t mean they won’t buy something else from you. Good marketers are always building a list of interested prospects, you should be, too.
Step 3: Start Blogging. Now, there’s a lot of people in MLM that say you don’t need to blog to make a fortune in MLM. And that’s completely true. You don’t need a blog to make a fortune. But, in today’s era of internet marketing and more and more people going online to find out how they can break free of their jobs and have control of their life, you’re silly not to have a blog that shows off what you know and how you can help people. Start blogging, right now.
Step 4: Market with Video. Online video is the KING of all content right now, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to change anytime soon. If you’re not making videos, and they don’t have to be Hollywood productions, you’re missing out on a massive amount of MLM leads that could be going into your business, or at least onto that email list we mentioned earlier.
Step 5: Build relationships. For far too long there’s been almost a “scorched earth” type of attitude with MLM folks. They’re just interested in signing up that next person, then moving on to someone else. Invest time in your downline, train them with what you know so that they can experience the same success as you. Your business will grow much faster and so will your paycheck.

Mike,
Your steps were right on the mark, especially the last one. Building relationships is critical in my opinion. I think this is one of the benefits of MLM. You develop some incredible friendships.
I’ve been avoiding video marketing, but I know it’s necessary. Thanks for the reminder.
Excellent post.

Aww, c’mon Connie! You can do some videos! It’s fun once you do it a few times. Just know that if you mess up, you can always hit that delete button and do it again!
