Here’s the top 5 tips that anyone can use on their blog to start growing their list of prospects to unheard of levels and start sponsoring more people into your business.

Top Tip #1 – Post to your blog EVERY DAY. I can’t stress how important this is.  If you’re posting new content every day, you’re adding a new point of entry for your business every day.  Just think about that.  Imagine how hard it would be to hold an event at a hotel or someone’s house every day where you presented your knowledge and your business.  How much would that cost?  I know, completely impossible, right?

Here’s where your blog steps in. Each time you create a new post, you’re adding a “point of entry” to your business that people can find, any time of the day or night.  Plus, the search engines LOVE fresh content posted on a regular basis.  I know this sounds like it’s going to be a lot of work, but trust me, you can update your blog in less than an hour every day.  And once you really get going, it will probably take you less than 30 minutes to crank out fresh content.  Get started and you’ll see the benefits immediately.

Top Tip #2 – Put an opt-in form on your blog. Just posting to your blog is not enough.  You’ve got to have a place where people can “open the door” to your business and see what you’re really all about.  I know that you’ve got your email subscriber list all set up (you do, don’t you?), so it’s just a matter of getting an opt-in form on your blog.

You can easily add this in the sidebar of your blog without really being a whiz at coding, but you can also pay someone a few bucks to get your opt-in form installed.  Trust me, the paltry dollars you’ll spend to set this up will pay off in the long run multiple times over.

Top Tip #3 – Promote Your Blog Posts. Now, it’s one thing to create new content every day.  But if people don’t know it’s there, it’s not doing you a lot of good.  Start promoting your blog posts.  If you don’t, no one else is going to do it for you.  Have enough confidence in yourself that you’re creating great content and people need to read it.  You’ll be surprised at how many do and how many are willing to see what else you can provide them.

Post links to your blog posts on Facebook, Twitter, in forums, anywhere where you hang out online. But please, don’t be spammy!  I hate it when people take my advice and twist it in bad ways.  Always ask yourself, ”Is this going to provide value?” before you share anything.  If it does, don’t hesitate.  Get that link up quick like a bunny and start reaping the rewards of your hard work.

Top Tip #4 – Give direction in your blog posts. Think like this, every article that you submit to an article directory has a place for an “author bio.”  Why is this any different on your blog?  Each post should have a goal when you write, even if it’s nothing more than to get people onto your list.  And if you want them to join your list, you have to ask them.

Don’t just believe that people are going to do what you want if you don’t ask them.  Even the best marketers out there haven’t mastered mind control yet.  Don’t try to yourself.  Tell them where you want them to go.  If you’ve done your job and provided great content, they’ll follow where you lead.

Top Tip #5 – Wash. Rinse. Repeat. Don’t just do these steps one time.  It’s going to take a lot of work on your part to build your business with your blog.  You’ve got to follow through on each of these steps to see real results.  Don’t every post junk content.  Don’t ever have a post that doesn’t have some goal in mind.  Don’t ever just assume that people are going to go where you want them to without telling them.

Follow through, be consistent, and watch your bottom line grow.  Repeat the process and then be amazed at the results you’ll begin seeing in no time.
